- The quote I chose is "All the people are fake. They're made out of metal." which is from a Swedish tv show called Young Royals.
- It's from a part of the show where the main character Wilhelm is struggling with his sense of identity and place, which I find resonates with how I've felt in the past.
- I personally prefer the quote in Swedish as it was performed with more raw emotion and pain, which I think is beautiful."Alla människor är på låtsas. De är gjorda av metall."
- I started off by just putting the quote on my page, nice and big so that when I covered it, some could still be seen. I feel this represents how people can be fake. For example, the real person is underneath but then all their fake ideas and personas get bundled and stacked on top of each other. Eventually the person that once was gets trapped and stuck; they become that false person and who they were disappears.
- I chose to use bus tickets to represent the journeys we go on throughout our lives.
-The fact that both the bus ticket and the lottery ticket is made out of paper makes me think about how different the value of their wealth is. At the end of the day they're still made out the same exact material, but we've decided one is worth a £3 trip and the other potentially millions.
- The gold then represents how things can have a mask of being fancy and expensive, but when you break it down its just paper underneath or dead leaves.
-This collage represents the quote I have chosen as its made of things that feel like they should be worth more, with added ideas of the thoughts from when you question everything. As well as showing how the people who you think you know can be something wildly different.
