Trailer Analysis

Analyse this trailer, making notes under the following headings:

Cinematography

this trailer uses a lot of different shots for example close-ups for the fight scenes and long shots for the view of where the fight will take place. At the end of the trailer, there is a fight scene that uses the shoulder shot and the character blocks the other character which when he gets stabbed he dies and it zooms in on the winner.

Editing

The editing is very smooth because it has been corrected. It changes from seven to seven comfortable and shows to us as a viewer what is going to happen in this video game.

Mise-en-scene

Overall the everything works well with the trailer because what props and costumes they have used fit well with the other Assassin creed films/video games. it is a carry on of the trilogy which is why it has gathered so many views. throughout the video, it changes from the peaceful rebuilding of the village to fighting for their village their country.

Voiceover

The voice-over helps tie everything together in my opinion it works well as it allows us to know what is going on during the video. This is because the images being shown during the voiceover don't directly link to it but with the voice over it allows us to know what is going on but also see what it is like.

Also during the voice over the enemies talk about the Vikings in negative lighting saying that they kill everyone even though they do not. They respect people and respect where they live.

Colour

The colour quality is amazingly nice and bright in the more peaceful scenes and in the more dark and dangerous scenes it uses low key lighting to help create a scene of war and darkness.

Setting

The setting chops and changes from seven to scene as previously disgusted. The setting is in England where the Vikings live. They make it clear by changing from different scenes to show different moods

Soundtrack

as they come up to the fight scenes they have used music which vades creating a sense of power and emotion as they go and fight for their land. I really like the soundtrack and think it works well with the trailer. The soundtrack has the song - soul of a man by Koda however the playlist was by Jesper Kyd, Sarah Schachner and Einar Selvik
