Do we need to regulate the media

For almost all forms of media there is a set of regulations or rules that they need to follow. Answer each of the questions below. Write at least two sentences for each questions.

1. Using this site summarise the arguments for and against regulation in the media.
2. What is your opinion about regulations. Do you think that we should have rules for how the media can operate? Why/ Why not?
3. How effective do you think media regulation is? Think about do you follow film and game ratings, do you think other people do, how easy is it to get around the rules, do you think media producers alway follow them etc.
4. What might happen if there was no media regulation?
